new growth in Dallas
Real Estate has moved north for many years, and is still spreading in
that direction, where continued new home construction and shopping
centers are still being built. North
Dallas became more saturated and began to slow down in new community
building in 1998. Preexisting homes there continue to escalate due to
it's prime central location, easy access to highways, and the growing
cities surrounding it. Plano,
which is just north of Dallas, slowed down in construction in 2001.
Prices there also consistently climb, and likely always will. Plano is a
"best of both worlds" city that has an abundance of it's own
businesses, malls, and great schools, but is slightly out of the
mainstream of Dallas bustle. For the commuter, there is also easy access
to Central Expressway (I-75), Dallas Parkway (North Dallas Tollway), and
George Bush Turnpike (I-190). Just north of Plano,
Frisco is still booming in new growth. If you are set on buying a
new home, Frisco provides many choices and is great for young families.
Business and retail growth is following close on the heels of the new
home construction, so there are convenient new shopping areas close
by. Of course, virtually every north Dallas suburb is a great
investment. Especially if you desire the benefits of an established
neighborhood, you will find lovely homes in Addison,
Carrollton, and
Richardson. These cities are also readily convenient to major
highways and are a closer commute to downtown Dallas, if that is your
work destination.
